The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan sold his favorite bat at an auction for Tk 20 lakh to support the victims of Covid-19 infected with the deadly corona virus. He has spent this entire amount for the welfare of those suffering from Corona.
Musician Tahsan Khan has already participated in this special auction titled 'Auction for Action'. He has auctioned the original master date copy of his album 'Kathopakthan'. Along with this, there is the handwritten lyric page of the song 'Irsha' which has been kept for 16 years.
In continuation of this, the items used by several popular artists of the country are going to be auctioned as 'Auction for Action'. This list includes late fiction writer Humayun Ahmed, poet Nirmlendu Guna, late actor Humayun Faridi, Asaduzzaman Noor, Ali Zaker, filmmaker Mustafa Sarayar Farooqui, actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha, band star James, Musharraf Karim, cinematographer Anant Jalil, Arifin Shubo, Maksudul Haque, Miles Band, Cricketer Mashrafe Bin Murtaza, Liton Das and many others.
Preet Reza is one of the founders of 'Auction for Action'. He said, 'This event has started with the aim of helping the helpless in the Corona crisis. We have already talked to popular and talented stars from different fields of the country. They all also applauded this initiative. The artist participating in the auction will hand over all his money to the organizations to help the Corona sufferers.
He also informed that an auction of the original master copy of Tahsan's 'Kathopakthan' album will also be held tonight.
