According to a BBC report, France reported 135 deaths, Spain 164 - the lowest daily death toll in both countries since mid-March, and Italy reported 174 deaths, the lowest in two months.
French doctors, on the other hand, claimed that new tests on samples taken from patients showed that the virus was still present in France last year. This happened just weeks before the country's first confirmed case of Covid-19.
The number of people infected with the virus is increasing by leaps and bounds in Russia. More than 10,000 new corona infected patients were detected in the country on Sunday.
However, Russia's death rate is still very low compared to other countries. 58 deaths were recorded in the country on this day, the total death toll stands at 1,280.
315 new deaths occurred in the UK on this day. The country now ranks third in the global death toll after the US and Italy. But the outbreak there has passed its peak, officials said, and the number of new hospital admissions is also declining.
