The distance of Sonu Kumar Chauhan's house from Ludhiana in Punjab is about 1000 km. Despite the lockdown, he cycled 850 km with his friends for 7 consecutive days. But that chance of his marriage did not happen anymore. At present, he has to stay in that quarantine center until the lockdown in India is lifted.
Sonu Kumar Chauhan, a tile factory worker in Punjab's Ludhiana by profession, is a resident of Pipra Rasulpur in Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj district, a thousand miles away. When he was only 150 kilometers away from home, he was caught by the border guards along with his friends.
Disappointed in such a situation, Sonu said, 'Somehow, if I could cover only one and a half hundred km, if I could enter the home area, no one could stop me. But what else to do, the forehead is bad. I got caught. Even if he is not married, now he has to stay in this center like this.'
However, he said, 'Marriage can happen later. Everyone's health is more important first.' Balrampur SP Devaranjan Verma said that 'Chauhan with his friends was stopped as soon as they entered the district. Now they are in quarantine center. After 14 days the result of corona test is 'negative' only then all four of them will be released.
