A report titled 'Covid-19 and Immunization: What Parents Need to Know' by the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF outlines what to do if children develop symptoms of coronavirus.
According to the report, if the child has symptoms of sore throat, cold or fever, seek advice from the doctor over the phone. If there is breathing problem or the child is unusually sick, call the emergency number to take him to a nearby hospital.
UNICEF says the majority of infected children show no symptoms. However, it is important to protect the elderly and those in vulnerable conditions from infection.
UNICEF also said that even if a child shows symptoms of corona, keep him at home. But take doctor's advice if necessary.
The UNICEF report also states that if other respiratory infections such as flu occur, seek medical advice quickly, try not to go to crowded places.
During this time, it is better to keep children away from contact with the elderly or those in the family who have low immunity.
UNICEF says there is no need for a coronavirus test if a child has no symptoms of fever, runny nose or shortness of breath.
