The country's authorities have announced that the death sentence of the man named Syed Mahmoud Mousavi-Majd will be executed soon. General Soleimani was killed in a drone attack on Iraq's Baghdad International Airport on January 3. Seyed Mahmoud Mousavi, an Iranian citizen, was sentenced to death for providing information about his whereabouts to the US intelligence agency CIA and Israel's intelligence agency Mossad.
Iran's judiciary spokesman Gholam Hossein Ismail told the media, "Mahmoud Mousavi, one of the spies against the Quds Force of Iran's armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has been sentenced to death." He gave information to the enemy about Soleimani's location.'
However, without giving details about when the death sentence will be executed, he said, Mousavi's death sentence will be executed very soon. Also, some of the 17 spies recently arrested for their involvement in the assassination were hanged. However, it is not known whether Mousavi is associated with them.
