The Dhaka Times Desk Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi suddenly flew into Ladakh, calling the region India's 'crown' and criticizing the country without mentioning China's name.
Narendra Modi said in a speech yesterday (Friday) standing in the much-discussed Nimu of Ladakh, 'The era of expansionism is over. The world is currently on the path of development. Expansionists ended the world in the last century. But they were either defeated, or lost from history.'
India has not been at ease on the Ladakh border for quite some time. Among them, 20 of their soldiers were killed in a deadly clash with China on the Line of Control. After that incident, the leaders of India's opposition parties also started criticizing the BJP government.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was supposed to visit Ladakh to monitor the situation. He was also rumored to move to the forward post. But suddenly Narendra Modi went there at the last moment.
Paying tribute to the soldiers who died in Galwan Valley, Narendra Modi said, 'I pay my respects to those who laid down their lives in Galwan. Our enemies have seen your warlike form. Ladakh is the crown of India.'
Modi arrived in Ladakh this morning. Then Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the hospital to see the injured soldiers in that incident.
