According to the report, Peng Zhiyong's team conducted a 6-minute walking test on patients. They found that patients who recovered from Corona can walk only 400 meters in 6 minutes, while a healthy person can walk at least 500 meters in the same time.
Liang Tengxiao, a doctor at Beijing University's Dongzhimen Hospital, said many people who were discharged from the hospital three months earlier still rely on oxygen machines. That is, they have to take the help of an oxygen machine for breathing. Moreover, his team also reported follow-up on healthy corona patients above 65 years of age. It showed that 10 percent of the 100 percent of patients with the novel coronavirus had antibodies that disappeared immediately. 5 percent of them showed negative result in covid-19 nucleic acid test. However, they showed positive results in Immunoglobin M (IgM) test. Because of which they are again sent to quarantine.
When the corona virus attacks, the first antibody produced by the body's immune system is IgM. If someone's body is IgM positive in the test, then it should be understood that he is infected with corona virus. However, it is not clear whether people who have tested positive for IgM have been infected with the virus again. In 100 patients, the immune system did not fully recover. They have very low levels of B cells. This B cell is the primary force to kill the corona virus in the human body. Those patients developed high levels of T-cells, which can also recognize viral antigens outside of infected cells.
Peng also said that the test results show that the patients' immune systems have not yet returned to their previous state. Due to which patients suffer from depression and despair. Most of the patients who recovered from Corona told the research team that even their family members were not willing to eat dinner with them at the same table. Fewer than half of people who have recovered from Corona have returned to work.
It should be noted that the Corona virus was first detected in the city of Wuhan, China. Since this observation is carried out there, this research report is considered to be very important.
