The Dhaka Times Desk Finally, Mahiya Mahi has been finalized as the heroine of the movie 'Aashirvad'. Maheer Roshan is the hero of this government funded film. This is the first time they are pairing up.
It was already known that Roshan will act in this film. On August 19, it was confirmed about Mahi. The film's producer, Jennifer Ferdous, confirmed this.
16 full-length films to be produced with government grants have been awarded in the fiscal year 2019-2020. One of these is 'Blessing'. Its producer and narrator is Jennifer Ferdous. This film will be directed by National Film Award winning director Mostafizur Rahman Manik.
About finalizing Mahi in the film, producer Jennifer said, 'After getting the government grant, the search for the female lead Subarna in Aashirvad started. Finally we signed Mahiya Mahi. Hopefully we will have a great experience working with the top actress of the industry.'
Actress Mahi also confirmed the fact and said that she also shared several pictures taken on her Facebook at the time of signing the film. Actor Roshan along with producer and director were also seen in the film.
Mahi also said that the character of Suvarna in this film based on the Liberation War is basically the character of a student of Dhaka University. The film is being made with the background of the turbulent politics before the liberation war and the liberation war. Mahi is excited to be in the lead role.
Director Mostafizur Rahman Manik said, 'We have finalized the hero and heroine so far. I will reveal the names of the rest of the performers very soon.
The post production work of the film is going on. The shooting will start in the first week of next month, the makers said.
