The Dhaka Times Desk Khaled Mishal, the former leader of the Palestinian liberation movement Hamas, said that the idea of normalizing relations with Israel arose for the purpose of controlling the world again.
He said this while attending an online event. The youth wing of Morocco's Justice and Development Party organized the event on Facebook.
Khaled Mishal also said that Israel managed to wipe out the Camp David Agreement by managing Egypt. Through this, the idea of normalizing relations emerged to control the Arab world.
It should be noted that Egypt and Israel signed a peace agreement in Washington in 1979 in light of the 1978 Camp David Agreement. Because of this, the military conflict between Egypt and Israel ended and the journey of permanent and stable bilateral relations began.
Turkish media Anadolu reported that the former head of Hamas said that recently Israel is moving forward with new policies to take advantage of regional and international changes. No one but Tel Aviv would benefit from normalizing relations with Israel.
He added that Turkey has become a 'fear' for Israel through its political Islam, strong democracy, trade and industry. Some countries are playing a role in the changing globalization, while the Arab countries are also losing their influence.
Khaled Mishal said that no Palestinian will accept Israel's plans to expand settlements and the so-called deal of the century. The former Hamas leader also pointed out that Israel's continued occupation is a violation of international law.
