The Dhaka Times Desk The US administration has been accused of holding hundreds of migrant children in more than 25 hotels in 3 US states.
Yesterday (Thursday) the American media CNN gave this information citing various activists related to immigrants and civil rights.
That said, the children are locked up in hotels and guarded by government contractors by the United States government. These children have basically been kept in detention on the pretext of corona virus.
Carla Marisol Vargas, senior attorney for the Texas Civil Rights Project, said the majority of those detained children were black. At the moment they have no connection or contact with the outside world. They have no access even to the immigration system.
Some officials of the Trump administration said on condition of anonymity that measures have been taken to keep children safe by following the rules to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
Citing sources, CNN reported that among these detained children, at least 80 are very young and 570 are minors. They have been detained in more than 25 hotels in 3 states.
Various human rights organizations and lawyers have complained that they are not allowed to speak to the children. Because of this, they are still completely ignorant of what is really going on inside.
