However, there are no new charges at the customer level. However, the cost of withdrawing money remains the same as before.

In this regard, the circular sent to the chief executives of all banks states that the inter-operability or mutual (live) transaction facility has been started from October 27, Tuesday, between the banks and MFS institutions that have successfully completed the pilot testing.

Banks or MFSs which have not yet completed preparations for inter-operability have been directed to complete the preparations by March 31 next year and start mutual transaction facilities.

Currently money can be sent from one bank to another bank. But money could not be sent from one MFS to another MFS. That is, Bikash customers could not send money in cash or Rocket, cash customers in Bikash or Rocket, Rocket customers could not send money in Bikash or cash. You can send it from now.

That is why the new service has been launched through the National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB) initiative of the central bank. However, Bikash, Rocket and Cash have already introduced the facility of receiving money from banks themselves. From Bikash, money is being sent to private City Bank, BRAC Bank and Agrani Bank.

Bangladesh Bank says that in case of money transfer from one MFS provider account to another MFS provider (P-to-P), the receiving MFS provider will conveniently pay 0.80 percent of the transaction fee to the sending MFS provider.

Also in case of transfer of money from bank account to MFS and from MFS account to bank, in both cases the respective MFS provider will give 0.45 percent of the amount transacted to the concerned bank.

Participating Banks and MFS will not charge any charges in addition to existing transaction fees at customer level for mutual transactions. In case of transactions on mutual arrangement, the prescribed transaction limits will be applicable as per respective bank/MFS account variation.
