Gmail accounts that will be closed

The Dhaka Times Desk Google's users are going to face several new rules in 2021. One of which is the removal of the facility of keeping free photos in Google Photos, even inactive accounts will be closed.

According to the new policy, all accounts which have been inactive for more than two years will be completely deleted. This rule will be effective from June 1 next year. However, before this rule comes into force, every account holder will be sent a warning via e-mail from Google.

Recently, it was announced by Google that users can no longer use Google Photos for free. It is also said that account holders who have not used Gmail, Google Drive, Documents, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms and Jamboard files for more than two years will also have their accounts deleted.

However, inactive account holders are assured to pass on all important information related to their account to trusted contacts from the world's popular tech giant. If the user's account is inactive for a period of 3-18 months.

But users have no reason to worry. What you can do for now is to connect your mobile, laptop or desktop to the net and log in to Gmail regularly. If you can, you can delete unnecessary media and files. This will free up space in your account. It will also be active regularly. Due to which the account will be exempted from deletion.
