Citizens' groups in Germany say the practice of a liberal, open and democratic culture in youth work is under attack.
60 civic groups demand stable funding for projects against the far right. Germany's federal parliament, the Bundestag, has passed a law aimed at thwarting the far-right's efforts in Germany to undermine German society. SPD party leader Jaskia Esken thinks the law is not enough.

Some 60 citizens' groups also warned Merkel's coalition government in a recent letter cited by the Taj newspaper. According to civic groups, their youth-based activities are under attack to practice a liberal, open and democratic culture.
It should be noted that the results of the cabinet committee will be published in the first quarter of 2021, said Merkel government spokesman Steffen Seibert.
