Protests over 'premature voting' in Nepal

Party president Vaidya Devi Bhandari supported this decision in the elections. However, former Prime Minister Pusp Kumar is strongly opposed to this decision. Massive protests started with the decision to dissolve the parliament.

On Tuesday, 10,000 people demonstrated in the country's capital city. Laxman Ramsal, a member of the regional legislature, said they would continue the protest until the decision was withdrawn.

The Communist Party of Nepal is currently divided into two factions, Oli and Prachanda. In early December, Ollie announced that he was unable to work.
