Fardin Iftekhar Dihan, the accused main accused, was shocked immediately after Anushka's death. After going to the hospital, Anushka tried to escape leaving the dead body behind. But he did not get time and opportunity. By that time the police arrested all 4 people including his three friends. Last Friday, Dihan gave the first description of this incident in the deposition under section 164 in the court. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid also recorded his statement. Later, the court fixed January 26 as the next day for the next hearing of the case.
After taking the statement, the court ordered to send him to jail. It is known from the sources related to the investigation, page 7 column 3, according to the information given by Dihan in the deposition, they met through Instagram two to three months ago.
According to a news media citing sources, Dihan, his elder brother, a distant cousin of the village also live in the Dolphin Gully house. His father lives in Rajshahi with another brother. His father is a retired district registrar. On the day of the incident, Dihan's mother had gone to Bogra to see Nana as her Nana was ill. So the previous day while chatting on mobile messenger, Dihan told Anushka that her house will be empty. He can come whenever he wants. Dihan said that Anushka left the house at 11:30 pm telling her mother to go to Fardin's house.
This time he offered to buy lunch for Anushka but they did not take it. Later, he took Anushka with him from Dhanmondi No. 32 Metro Shopping Mall and left her near Lajfarma at Dihan Kalabagan intersection and entered the house alone. At that time, Anushka was told that if she calls after entering the house, she should go home. Anushka entered Dihan's empty flat without any hindrance as planned.
Dihan had already planned his physical relationship with Anushka. But Anushka knew that they would go home and talk for a while and then go to Agargaon in the capital to correct Dihan's voter ID card. However, after going home, Dihan started having physical relations with Anushka. Anushka's excessive vaginal blood flow begins at one point during intercourse. On the way to the hospital, Fardeen called Anushka's mother and her friend and told them that Anushka had lost consciousness. He tells his three friends that Dihan himself is sick, so they have to come to the hospital. Later, instead of 17, Anushka's age was written in 19 instead of 17 in the hospital registrar book. Friends come to the hospital and see Dihan sitting on the floor. By then they also know that Anushka is no longer alive.
According to the source, the news media also said that when the hospital authorities realized that Anushka was no longer alive, they immediately informed the local Kalabagan police station. The patrolling police near the hospital immediately went and arrested Dihan and everyone involved. Later, the Kalabagan police temporarily released his three friends without being directly related to the incident. The Criminal Investigation Department of the police seized a white cushion pillow (pillow) and some ancillary evidence from the scene. Some parts of the bed sheet and the cushion were completely soaked in blood.
Investigation officer of the case and Kalabagan Police Inspector (Unarmed) AFM Asaduzzaman and Inspector (Operation) Thakur Das Malo told the media that according to the information given by the forensic department after the autopsy, signs of injury and bleeding were found in the lower limbs and anus. It is known that Anushkar died due to perverted sexual behavior and excessive bleeding. Samples were collected to determine whether any anesthetic was administered.
Meanwhile, this incident has created a nationwide stir. Protests and condemnations continue over the brutal torture and death of a schoolgirl. The deceased Anushka's body was taken to her home in Kushtia yesterday and the funeral and burial were completed. There is a human bond in Kushtia. Exemplary punishment has been demanded for the culprits in this incident.
