A young man named Faisal Rabbi, son of Sajed Hossain of Ratneshwarpur village of Debhata upazila of Satkhira, filed a complaint with the police to get back his lost pet bird.
Faisal Rabbi accompanied his wife Sabikun Nahar on January 16 to file a written complaint at Debhata police station to get back the lost domesticated Australian cockatiel (kakatua) bird.
The talking bird is currently in the house of Billal Gazi, a motor van driver in Gazirhat area. However, the Faisal couple complained that Billal is not returning the bird even though he is the owner of the bird.
Faisal said that on June 6 last year, he came to Devhata's house with a baby bird of the Australian cockatiel breed from Dhaka. Later, he and his wife Sabikun Nahar together nurtured and cared for the bird for a long time and taught it to speak. Then along with the bird they stayed at Gopakhali, the wife's father-in-law's house. The bird suddenly disappeared from Gopakhali last October 11. Since then Faisal-Sabikun Nahar couple was searching for the bird.
Recently, the bird was found in the house of motorvan driver Billal of Gazirhat village, but motorvan driver Billal refused to return the bird to the Faisal couple. So Faisal Rabbi complained to the police station to get back the pet bird.
