Education Minister Dipu Moni has announced that the results will be announced within this month due to the removal of the legal hurdle of declaring the results without examination. As per custom, the results are officially declared after the Education Minister hands over the results to the Prime Minister.

The Ministry of Education has sent a proposal to the Prime Minister to publish the results of HSC and equivalent examinations on Saturday (January 30) or Sunday (January 31).

The government issued a gazette on January 26 giving the power to the education boards to prepare, publish and issue certificates of HSC results due to the inability to conduct examinations amid the corona virus.

Through this, the government has given this power to Madrasa and Technical Education Board along with 9 General Boards as per the recommendation of the Advisory Committee of Secondary and Higher Education Department and Technical and Madrasa Education Department.

According to the gazette, these laws have been amended due to the inability to conduct the Higher Secondary Examinations to be held in 2020 due to the ongoing global pandemic, Corona Virus.

This power is given to the boards based on the recommendations of the advisory committee formed in this regard under the power of the amended law.

Meanwhile, the Board of Inter-Education said that the results are ready. The date of publication of the results will be finalized after getting the approval of the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, the education ministry has informed that the holiday period of schools and colleges in the country has been extended till February 14.

Note that last year (year 2020) 13 lakh 65 thousand 789 students of 11 education boards are supposed to give HSC and equivalent exams. The exam was supposed to start on April 1 of that year (2020). However, all educational institutions in the country were closed from March 17 as the outbreak of Corona virus started to increase. Then, in a press conference on October 7, Education Minister Dipu Moni announced the decision to cancel the HSC examination as well as the end of fifth and eighth. Then the education minister said that the result of HSC 2020 will be determined by averaging the results of JSC and SSC. Higher secondary result will be declared by considering JSC-JDC result as 25% and SSC result as 75%.
