In this regard, Richard Yu, the head of Huawei's consumer business department, said that Huawei wants to focus on electric cars. Through this, the Chinese company wants to use the large market sector as a target.

According to a report by Business Standard, two people familiar with the matter said that Huawei is in talks to use factories of state-owned Changan Automobile and other manufacturers to make electric cars.

Meanwhile, Huawei is also in talks with Beijing-based BAIC Group's Bluepark New Energy Technology to produce electric vehicles.

Meanwhile, another Chinese company, Xiaomi, is planning to make its own car. The company sees this matter as a strategic decision. However, Xiaomi has not revealed any details so far. Xiaomi chief Lei Jun will directly lead the new project, according to the report.

Lei Jun traveled to the United States twice in 2013 to meet with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. This time it is really believed that the interest of the company in this sector has increased. But only time will tell what is really happening.
