However, the real name of Capsicum is unknown to many of us. Its real name is bell paper. Capsicum is also known as Shimla pepper. Despite the name, chili is actually a vegetable. It is also used in fish, meat, vegetables, salads etc. Capsicums are available in various colors including green, red and yellow in raw markets and supermarkets. But with a little effort you can easily grow capsicum in balcony or rooftop tub.

How to cultivate it
A sandy loam soil is very suitable for Capsicum cultivation. Although Capsicum can be cultivated in all seasons, the chances of good yield are higher if the seeds are sown in Vadra and Magha months.
After collecting seeds or seedlings, you need to choose a tub with a hole in the bottom. So that there is facility in excess water drainage. Mix one-third organic fertilizer with the tub soil. Roughly one month old seedlings are suitable for transplanting. Light, air and sun without intense heat are very beneficial for Capsicum cultivation. The reason is that strong sun can damage the seedlings. So seedlings need to be planted when the heat is low. Apply one spoonful of urea fertilizer at least 20 days after planting. Along with that, water should be given regularly so that the soil does not dry out.
If the seedling is a little big, then a strong pole should be given so that the tree does not fall. Moreover, if there are weeds at the base of the tree, you should also remove them carefully. About 2 months after planting i.e. 3 months the seedling will start bearing fruit, which will continue to give you fruit for the next one to at least one and a half months.
How to remove disease
You have to make sure that capsicum leaves are not affected by disease under any circumstances. Generally, two types of diseases are seen in Capsicum plants. One is leaf curling and the other is black spots on leaves. Jab beetles usually feed on leaves in groups, causing the leaves to curl. Neem seed solution or soap-water spray can be used to prevent this. In this case, 2 teaspoons of powdered soap should be mixed in 8 to 10 liters of water.
Leaf black spot in general reduces the yield of Capsicum, and sometimes even kills the plant. In that case, you have to mix 2 grams of Bavistin in one liter of water and spray it every 15 days.
Those who are more interested in gardening or already have a garden, can also grow capsicum at home. At the same time, it will change the mood of the garden and you can get fresh capsicum.
