The report also said that child mortality rate in India increased by 15.4 percent in 2020. Bangladesh is followed by 13 percent. Maternal mortality rate increased by 21.5 percent in Sri Lanka and 21.3 percent in Pakistan.
According to the report, due to the strict lockdown, the healthcare sector of the countries is severely hampered. This increases maternal mortality and child mortality.
