According to the study, due to fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, the death rate of corona among Muslims was very low. All over the world, devout Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan. During this time, Muslims refrain from eating and drinking from Subeh Sadik to sunset.
There are over 3 million Muslims in the UK. Which is about 5 percent of the country's total population. Most of these Muslims are of South Asian origin.
The study also said that we found that people who fasted during the month of Ramadan did not have a significant effect on the death rate from the corona virus.
It says minorities in the UK are more likely to be infected with the virus due to their religious and cultural practices. Even experts in the UK feared that the corona infection may increase during Ramadan. But nothing happened.
This year 2021, the month of Ramadan is less than two weeks away. Arabic months begin depending on the sighting of the moon. In that case, due to geographical reasons, there is a change of a few hours or a day before the start of Ramadan in different countries of the world.
