But that's not a big deal either. The biggest surprise is the price of this vegetable. The price of each kilogram of vegetables is 85,000 rupees, in Bangladeshi currency, the price of which is about one lakh rupees! An Indian youth, Amresh Singh, has set a new example in front of the farmers by producing such a vegetable.
Calcutta newspaper Sangbad daily reported that this young man, Amresh Singh, is a resident of Karamdih village in Bihar. The 38-year-old man invested nearly two and a half lakh rupees for the production of this special vegetable. This vegetable called 'hip shoots' is sold in the international market at Rs 85,000 per kg. Amresh Singh cultivated that vegetable in his 5 khata land. Amresh Singh did not apply any chemical or artificial fertilizers.
Amresh cultivated this vegetable very experimentally. He has largely succeeded in that. Of the seeds he planted, 60 percent succeeded. Amresh Singh is very happy to have succeeded in producing this new type of crop after spending hard work and money.
Locals feel that this effort of Amresh Singh can open a new horizon for the farmers. An IAS officer named Supriya Sahu took to Twitter to share the success of Amaresh, claiming that it could also be a 'game changer' for Indian farmers.
Note that the flowers of this vegetable 'Hop Shoots' are called 'Hop Cones'. This flower is mainly used to prepare beer. The rest is used as vegetable.
