In this case, a completely different story is being heard now. US pharmaceutical company Pfizer's chief executive officer (CEO) Albert Borla said that from now on, it may be necessary to get vaccinated against the corona virus every year.
He said this in an interview given to CNBC recently. In the interview published on Thursday, Borla said that the third dose of Pfizer should be taken to fully cover the vaccine. This also has to be completed within one year. Also may need to get corona vaccine every year from now on. He further said, "We have to see what happens, how long this may be necessary."
Pfizer's CEO said, "Somewhere there is a situation where a third dose is needed, it could be anywhere from 6 to 12 months." Then vaccination started again from there. Vaccination can be done every year. But these things need to be fully confirmed.
Meanwhile, vaccination programs are going on in different countries of the world to prevent Corona. The administration of the second dose started somewhere after the end of the first dose. However, researchers have not yet been able to provide any specific information on how long the vaccine will remain protected after two doses.
Earlier this month, Pfizer said its vaccine was more than 91 percent effective, citing research on vaccine safety. In some cases it can provide over 95 percent protection. Anyone can be protected for more than 6 months after receiving two doses of the vaccine.
