This incident in Pune, Maharashtra, India, revealed the Corona situation amid the dire picture of the epidemic. Allegations have been made that the woman was suspected to have died due to corona and none of the neighbors rushed to her aid for fear of getting infected.
According to police sources, the deceased woman is a resident of Pune's Pimri Chinchbard area. Neighbors finally informed the police after seeing the stench emanating from his house on Monday.
The police came and broke the door and took away the body of the woman. The woman was alone with her baby at the time of the incident. The local police said that her husband had gone to Uttar Pradesh in search of work.
The police assumed that the woman died last Saturday. However, the exact time of death will be known after the autopsy, said the investigation officer. Again, it will be understood whether the woman was Covid positive or not.
However, none of the neighbors wanted to take the child in their arms due to the fear of corona infection. However, women constables Sushila Gowle and Rekha Waje picked up the child while taking the body of the woman.
Then the fear of death did not consume? In response to this question from the media, female police constable Sushila Bhogle said, “I also have two children. One is 8 and the other is 6 years old. Seeing the child, I felt as if it was my own child. The child was so hungry that he quickly ate the milk."
Sushila's colleague Rekha Waje said that although the woman's death was suspected to be Covid, surprisingly her baby is almost healthy. However, due to slight fever, the child was tested for covid in the government hospital.
Rekha Waze said, 'When the child was seen by the doctor, he had a little fever. The doctor told him to eat well. The baby is fine after we feed him water and biscuits. I was taken to the government hospital and got a covid test done.'
Kolkata's Anandabazar newspaper reported that Inspector Prakash Yadav of Pune Police's crime branch said that no corona was detected in the child's report. For the time being, he was shifted to a government crèche.
