The ministry's director-general, Chezi Levy, said that even if two doses of the vaccine have been received, a person who comes into contact with an infected person with the delta variant will be quarantined. This guideline has been issued in the country from June 23.

According to Levy, “The number of infected so far is very small. However, it is clear that anyone can contract this variant even if vaccinated. The number of people infected with the vaccine is not yet known. But the search is on.”

Israel's new Prime Minister Naftali Bennett also expressed deep concern about the matter. Last Tuesday, he officially announced that corona infection is increasing in the country.
