The mosque you see is the historical Pagla mosque of Kishoreganj. Kishoreganj's Pagla Mosque, built in modern architectural style, is famous for various historical and scenic structures.
Legend has it that a mad spiritual man floated in the middle of the river Narsunda to get a mat and settled near the present mosque and many devotees gathered around him. After the death of the madman, this mosque was built next to his tomb. So over time it came to be known as Pagla Masjid. The mosque is considered as a very holy religious center not only for the followers of Islam but also for all the followers of religion. Many people have a deep-rooted belief that if someone donates to this mosque with the right intentions, his wishes will be fulfilled. This mosque is located in Harua area of Kishoreganj city.
