This flying car named 'Transition' has been developed by a company called Terrafugia Inc. The car can move on the road as well as fly in the sky as needed. On March 23 of this year, the transition car was flown experimentally for the first time by the company.
In a news about Terrafugia, the news agency Khabar24.com, citing the technology related website PC Mag, said that this vehicle named Transition was able to fly for eight minutes at a height of 1,400 feet.
Note that normal airplanes fly above 3,500 feet. The manufacturing company Terrifugia said that they have been working on making flying cars since 2006. This year their dream car has become a reality. After the success of the road-going and flying tests, the flying car transition may come to the market next year. This four-wheeler has seating for two. While flying in the sky with its wings spread, its wings can be kept folded while walking on the road. The Transition can reach speeds of 70 miles per hour on the road and 115 miles per hour in the air. Shorter runways are required to initiate transitions. So if you fall into a traffic jam, you will not get the benefits for now. This car can go up to 35 miles per gallon. Many people have already placed orders to buy this flying car. You have to spend about 3 million dollars to buy a flying car. In addition to the road license, a pilot's license must also be obtained to drive the transition.
