The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that a 17-year-old boy, Mohammad Munir al-Tamimi, was shot dead during protests in the Palestinian village of Beita. A day after the protests, al-Tamimi, who was shot, died while undergoing treatment in hospital.
The Red Crescent reported that 320 Palestinians were injured in the clashes. Among them, 21 were injured by fire, 68 by rubber bullets and many were injured by tear gas.
An AFP photographer said, 'Beita has essentially become a hotspot in recent months. Hundreds of Palestinians gathered there that afternoon.'
The area has seen regular protests against Israel's illegal settlement expansion. The occupying Israeli army claimed that the clashes took place after Palestinians threw stones at them.
Israel said that two of its soldiers were also slightly injured in the incident. Hundreds of Palestinians attended the teenager's funeral in the West Bank, according to Palestinian media reports.
