The newly discovered planet is equal to Jupiter in terms of volume, but 4 times heavier in terms of weight, scientists said. And so, various researches are going on among the scientists about this planet and its structure. Scientists are now eager to unravel the mystery of GJ 504b.
The newly discovered planet is dark magenta in color. The initial name of this planet is GJ 504b. It is located 57 light years away. About the age of this planet NASA said it is a planet about 160 million years old. It is visible to the naked eye as a point in the constellation. Scientists said that the infrared camera image of this planet shows that it is much bluer than other discovered planets. As a result, it is easy to imagine that the sky of this planet is covered with blue clouds.
The planet GJ 504b is about 9 times the orbital distance of Jupiter and the Sun from each other. As a result, scientists are still not able to get a proper idea about it. However, by analyzing all the images of this new planet so far, scientists initially think that this planet is full of gas.
"The composition of this planet is unlike any other planet discovered so far, and discovering its nature and composition has been a huge challenge for scientists," said Marcus Johnson, a researcher at the University of New Jersey. He added, “We need to discover new formulas to confirm its true composition. In this case, the discovery of a different formation formula of the planet is necessary.”
"If we could get to this planet, we could see hot heat coming out of its gas like the glow of a magenta cherry blossom," said Dr. Michael McElWine, a member of the NASA research team. "Our Sun is half way through its age, but the newly discovered hot planet GJ 504b is only one-third of its age," he added.
Although scientists are still conducting various researches to know the details about this newly discovered planet, it is completely different from the research theory carried out in space science in the case of other planets and is experiencing new experiences. As a result, the newly discovered GJ 504b is challenging scientists to identify it.
