The Dhaka Times Desk A group of lawyers, including Supreme Court lawyer Advocate ZI Khan Panna, have announced that they will stand in the High Court free of charge in the legal battle to free the jailed actress Parimani.

Today Monday (August 23), lawyer ZI Khan Panna confirmed the matter to the media. He said, we will fight the legal battle for Parimani without any money. I will have a group of lawyers with me. Advocate Makkia Fatema Islam, Advocate Jamiul Haque Faisal, Mahreen Masud Bhuiyan, Ayesha Akhtar, Rohani Siddika, Rohani Farooq Khan, Debjit Debnath, Moshiur Rahman Riad, Nazmus Saqib, Manvendra Roy Mandal, Yasmin Iti and other lawyers are in this lawyer team.
Lawyer ZI Khan Panna wrote in a Facebook post yesterday (August 22) that, 'I have decided to do Parimani's case without remuneration. Those who want to stay with me.'
Earlier, this lawyer fought a legal battle on behalf of Minni, who became the main witness in Barguna's much-discussed Rifat murder case, and got bail from the High Court.
After the third round of remand on August 21, the court ordered actress Parimani to be sent to jail in a drug case filed at Banani police station.
On August 19, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Islam granted a one-day remand to actress Parimani. Earlier on August 13, the court ordered Parimani and his associate Ashraful Islam Dipu to be sent to jail. She was taken to Kashimpur Mahila Central Jail in Gazipur at 7 pm that day. According to prison sources, heroine Parimani is kept at Kashimpur Women's Central Jail Quarantine Center (Rajnigandha Bhavan).
Earlier on August 10, Parimani and Ashraful Islam Dipur were remanded for 2 days by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debbrat Biswas. Prior to that, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted a four-day remand to Parimani and Dipur on August 5.
It is to be noted that RAB arrested actress Parimani and her associate Deepu from Banani's house after a 4-hour raid on the night of August 4. At this time various drugs were seized from Parimani's house. On August 5, RAB-1 filed a case under Narcotics Act against Parimani and his accomplice at Banani police station.
Meanwhile, as the days pass, the issue of Parimani is becoming the center of discussion. Questions have also been raised about his non-bailability and repeated remands. Common people of the country, including artists, have already taken to the streets. They think that Parimony is a victim of conspiracy. A circle conspired to harass him and made this arrest and case. Human rights organizations have also demanded his justice. Famous human rights activist of the country Sultana Kamal has also stood in favor of Parimani. Before that, prominent senior journalist and columnist Abdul Ghaffar Chowdhury claimed in a statement that he was a victim of a money laundering conspiracy. He also drew the Prime Minister's attention to the matter. He feels that a circle is working to end the life of an actress like Pariman. He has been framed as a conspiracy. Source: RTV Online.
