A decision was made to transfer Pele to the ICU as the acid reflux worsened again.
On September 17, the hospital authorities confirmed that one of the best footballers in history was taken back to the ICU for precautionary reasons. However, Pele's daughter Kelly Nascimento said that there is no serious reason.
He was discharged from the ICU last Tuesday after being admitted to the ICU after falling ill recently. However, three days later, Pele was admitted to the ICU again. The King of Football was taken to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo. So far his physical condition is stable.
Recently, when he was admitted with illness, he was diagnosed with a colon tumor during a checkup at the hospital. Surgery was immediately decided upon. The three-time World Cup winner in Brazil's jersey underwent surgery on September 4. Pele was then in the ICU. He was later released last Tuesday.
