The Dhaka Times Desk This is the first time Germany has unveiled the world's first driverless train. The train was unveiled in Hamburg as a joint venture between German rail operator Deutsche Bahn and industrial group Siemens.
It is known that the train will be more punctual as well as more fuel efficient than ordinary trains due to the absence of a driver. 4 such trains will run to cities in northern Germany from next December using the existing rail infrastructure.
It is known that these trains have been brought down at a cost of 70 million dollars as part of the Hamburg railway development project of the country. About this, Deutsche Bahn CEO Richard Lutz said, this automatic train can provide more reliable service. It will not require any new roads.
Another statement given to the media by Deutsche Bahn said that this train will be controlled by modern technology. A driver will be present to oversee the entire journey.
It should be noted that although there are automatic trains in the French capital Paris and various airports, they are managed through a special infrastructure. However, this train in Germany can run with normal infrastructure.
