He was arrested by the local police on the charge of selling his wife to the man in Rajasthan, India.
According to Hindustan Times, the teenager worked in a brick kiln in Rajasthan. After two months of marriage, the 26-year-old sold his wife to a 55-year-old man from Baran district in southeastern Rajasthan.
It is said in the news that a 17-year-old boy had a romantic relationship with a 26-year-old girl. Then they got married last July. However, financial tension in the family. The couple decided to work in a brickyard. The couple left their home in Odisha and moved to Raipur, Jhansi, Rajasthan. The family was going well with good and bad. But after a while, the young woman suddenly realizes that her husband is losing his attraction to her. The rift in their relationship continued to grow.
Allegedly, the minor husband sold his wife to a 55-year-old man. Then he stopped all his work and finally returned to Odisha. However, as he returned home alone without his wife, suspicions began to grow among the people of the bride's father's house.
Everyone held him to know the matter. The minor claims that his wife has eloped with someone else. However, the family did not doubt that. They then reported the incident to the police. Local police are investigating.
After the police began questioning the minor, he collapsed at some point. He admits that he sold the girl. He admitted to the police that he had sold his wife for 1 lakh 80 thousand rupees. Along with this, he said that he was very fond of expensive smart phones. He bought a smart phone with some of the money he got from selling his wife. The investigators were shocked. The police arrested the minor and rescued the girl.
A 17-year-old boy was recently produced in a juvenile court and the court sent him to the correctional jail.
