The Brazilian was paralyzed by polio after birth. Since then he has to be connected to an artificial device. The hospital is his 'world'. However, this helpless condition could not stop the 45-year-old Mashado. He trained himself as a skilled computer animator.
Paulo Henrique Mashado is now making a television series about his life, which the whole world will see. All of Mashado's childhood memories revolve around the hospital. In a wheelchair, he moved around the hospital and discovered his own 'world'. She said, 'I wandered around the hospital balcony, going to other children's rooms. That's how I discovered my world.' When Mashado was two days old, his mother died. That was in the seventies. The last outbreak of polio in Brazil occurred at that time. Mashado, a child suffering from polio, was admitted to Clinicas Hospital in Sao Paulo. He was placed with other children in the 'polio' ward of the hospital.
