The Dhaka Times Desk The 25th edition of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) is going to be inaugurated in Dhaka. Today (Thursday) President. Abdul Hamid will inaugurate it virtually.
The conference will be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), known as the Olympics of Information Technology. This year's theme is 'ICT The Great Equalizer'. This conference can be joined online from any part of the world.
The 'WCIT 2021' conference will be held at the same time as the Asia and Oceania regional international conference Associ 'Digital Summit 2021'.
This four-day conference from November 11 to November 14 will have a total of 30 seminars, ministerial conferences and BTUB sessions. These seminars can be attended by registering online. Every day there are special events along with the seminar. Along with the conference, exhibitions have also been organized on online platforms with the participation of various countries.

It is learned that Prime Minister's ICT Advisor Sajib Wazed Joy will join the ministerial conference virtually and present the keynote address on the opening day.
WCIT's silver jubilee will also be celebrated on the concluding day. Important people from various organizations in the information technology sector of the world will participate in various seminars of the conference.
A press conference was held yesterday (Wednesday) in the capital's ICT Division. ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak presented the details of the program.
In this press conference, State Minister for Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said, 'Bangladesh's achievements in the past 13 years to build digital Bangladesh have created an opportunity to brand it as 'Digital Bangladesh' to the outside world through this conference.
