The fascinating scenery you see is the Karakoram Highway, the China-Pakistan link road. This road between the hills is really beautiful.
Engineers of the Pakistan Army built this road by cutting a path through the mountains. This 1,300 km route through inaccessible mountains far above sea level connects Pakistan with Kashgar in western China. The construction of this road started in 1959. It is sometimes called the eighth wonder of the world due to the construction of this route in the difficult working environment of steep hills and inaccessible mountains. This mountain has 60 peaks. Their height is about 6 thousand 600 meters on average. Many drivers have met with accidents while crossing this road.
