The Dhaka Times Desk Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem has been the center of conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinians since the start of the holy month of Ramadan. Nevertheless, on Friday (April 22), 150,000 Muslims offered Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa.
Al Jazeera reported that Israeli forces raided the Al-Aqsa compound early Friday morning. The Palestine Red Crescent Medical Service said at least 31 Palestinians were injured in the clashes. Out of which 14 people were taken to hospital. However, overcoming these obstacles, about one and a half million worshipers performed Al-Aqsa prayers. However, Israeli police claim that they carried out the operation in response to Palestinian stone-throwing.
The report also said that this day was the first day of the Jewish religious festival of Passover on April 15, along with the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Because of which the tension increases. On the first day of Passover, 158 Palestinians were injured in an attack by Israeli forces on Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. 400 Palestinians were arrested.
Since then, the conflict has continued. But the Palestinians say they will never stop trying to enter al-Aqsa, no matter how many obstacles they face.
