This issue has spread on social media in India. This video was recorded in a village in Madhya Pradesh. It shows the severe water shortage. Several areas of the state face severe water shortage.

In the video, it can be seen that the woman went deep into the well without the help of a rope or anything else. Residents of Madhya Pradesh's Gusia village are forced to take drastic measures to collect water as ponds and wells dry up. Even several other areas of India face similar water shortages.

Videos of Indians risking their lives for water often go viral on social media. In one such video last April, a woman from Maharashtra went deep into a well.

In a global report of 2019, India was also placed in a list of 17 countries. In this list, the countries with the most serious water crisis are placed.

Angry residents of Gusiya village said they will protest against the government by boycotting this year's local elections. A woman said, 'We have to risk our lives to go down the well to collect water. There are only 3 wells, all of which are almost dry.
