Inauguration of country's first IT Business Incubator at Chuet

The Dhaka Times Desk Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the first university campus-based business incubator 'Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator' in the country for the development of information technology entrepreneurs and expansion of knowledge-based economy.

He inaugurated this incubator set up at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CHUTE) yesterday morning on Wednesday (July 6) by participating in a video conference from Ganobhaban. Through which 'Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator' started its official journey. He also inaugurated two separate dormitories named after Sheikh Jamal and Rosi Jamal.

This time, Prime Minister's Information and Communication Technology Advisor Sajib Wazed Joy joined the inauguration ceremony online. Junaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology, delivered the welcome address on this occasion. The event was held simultaneously on the online platform from Ganobhaban, Ministry of ICT and Chuet from three ends.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Law Minister Anisul Haque, Education Minister Dipu Moni, Lands Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Forest and Environment Minister Md. Shahab Uddin and Posts and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar were present.
