The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladeshi filmmaker Ahmed Tahsin Shams' film 'Deh Station' released on international OTT platform Amazon Prime.
Audiences in the UK and the US will be able to see the film from July. Within a few days, the audience of Bangladesh will also be able to enjoy the movie 'Deh Station'.
The film, which is about criticism in various ways in the society, also shows the 'beautiful future dimension' in the life struggle of a sex worker.
In this regard, the director said, "The film has been kept in black and white to show the misery of the life of sex workers. In our domestic reality, theater shows are not thought of. So it was released on the OTT platform. Hope the audience of the country will enjoy this movie soon.
About the movie, she said, "My character is a character, sometimes a loving mother, sometimes an elder sister, sometimes a sex worker. Each character was so unique that it was really challenging to portray the character believably.”
Apart from Moumita, this movie also starred Shahadat Hossain, late SM Mohsin, Hossain Mohammad Belal, Ahmed Rana, Farhana Eva, Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, Saikat Siddiqui and many others.
It should be noted that the creator Ahmed Tahsin Shams is an associate professor in the English Department of Notre Dame University, Bangladesh. He is currently teaching at the University of Notre Dame in the United States. In 2011, his telefilm 'Shooneyer Avritti' was released in the country. 'Deh Station' is his second construction. Also the production of his next film 'Arshinagar' for an OTT platform has already been completed.
