Experts say the power crisis is not over yet. The biggest impact of this power crisis has been on industries. Its effect will gradually fall on the entire country.
In other normal times, Sichuan province's hydroelectric power keeps the whole of China alive. 30 percent of the country's total hydropower is produced here. But now due to power shortage in Sichuan, electricity has to be brought here from other regions. Because of that, many companies including Toyota, Foxconn are closed in the report.
Due to the lack of water in the rivers, the drought has directly affected the hydropower plants in Sichuan Province. At present, electricity is being provided primarily to small and medium enterprises. After that, it will be given to big companies, the authorities said.
