The EU has accused China of forcing its workers. In a report this information was given by the Indian news media Business Standard.
Citing the EU, the Business Recorder reported in a report that the EU will impose another ban on the import of goods from China if China forces workers to work outside the prescribed working hours.
The EU also expressed deep concern over human rights abuses and China's influence over individuals and minorities in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
The report says that the Chinese government is inhumanely torturing the Muslim minority community in the Xinjiang province in the name of counter-terrorism and counter-extremism strategy.
In addition to reviewing various documents, the report also interviewed 40 people from the Uyghur, Kazakh and Kyrgyz communities. Out of which 26 persons reported torture after detention.
According to the EU, the presence of forced labor is looked into in every process of evaluation of suppliers, including random audits. Violations of our policy are subject to immediate action, including termination of business. As always, our goal is to ensure everyone's dignity and respect.
