The Dhaka Times Desk As a weight loss formula, it used to be said that eating more calories in the beginning of the day and fewer calories in the evening would lead to weight loss. This new research says, not breakfast and dinner, the habit of eating by the clock can reduce weight!
Are you dieting according to the rules? Many of us know the role of morning in losing weight. However, recent research suggests otherwise. Almost every cell in our body follows a 24-hour cycle. Various complex physiological processes of our body also depend on it. Your metabolic rate will depend on how much and how often you eat throughout the day. Scientists believe this 'chrono-nutrition' can also improve human health.
Two studies in 2013 suggested that eating more calories early in the day and fewer calories in the evening helped people lose weight. However, a new study has shown that unequal distribution of breakfast and dinner has no effect on metabolic rate and weight loss.
Researchers at two universities around the world conducted a controlled study of healthy but overweight people to find out whether weight had any effect on the amount of breakfast and dinner and hunger. Participants were fed two types of food. The first is a large breakfast and a small dinner. The second had more dinner. Breakfast was light. In both cases, the same food, given at the same time on the clock, had no significant effect on weight.
But the researchers admitted that after a six-week study, the amount of food had no significant effect. Rather, eating time has a greater effect on metabolic rate. Due to which weight is also controlled. Source: Anandabazar Patrika.
