Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister's adviser Tariq Zaman said, 'I was visiting the hospital at night. At this time a person came to me and said if you want to do something good, go to the morgue and check.'
Tariq Zaman also said that when he went upstairs, the staff objected to open the roof door. Then I said if you don't open then I will file an FIR against you. Then when the door opened and we entered there were at least 200 bodies lying there. The melted bodies were of men and women.
Tariq wants to know the reason for keeping these bodies here. The doctors told him at that time that these were kept for the study of medical students. The Punjab government has formed a six-member investigation team.
In a video message, Professor Maryam Ashraf, head of the anatomy department of the hospital in Multan, explained how unidentified and unclaimed bodies are treated in the hospital. He also told how the dead bodies are used for the purpose of teaching medical students.
