The Dhaka Times Desk In 'Neva 2' event, 455 people dived together under water and set a Guinness World Record. This event takes place in Maldives.
The free dive event was held in an attempt to enter the Guinness World Records to mark the Golden Jubilee of Maldivian tourism. A total of 459 people participated in the event.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed were present at the special event held at Cross Roads Resort, Maldives.
Free Dive Maldives organizes this event with 12 resorts. Among those who participated, 455 dived underwater for one minute and 30 seconds.
Tourism Minister of the country. Abdullah Masum said diving in the Maldives is also popular among tourists. Especially the tourists of the country are constantly introducing Maldives to the world of free diving.
It should be noted that this event was organized for the first time in Maldives in 2019. In the first event, 521 people dived together to set a world record. The country's tourism minister also said that such events are very important for the promotion of tourism.
