However, science has clearly stated that eating bananas has absolutely nothing to do with having twins. This is nothing but a rumour. It is basically superstition.
How are twins born?
Twins are generally of two types. In the language of science, it is called 'identical' and 'non-identical'. Usually identical twins are born from the same 'zygote'. Non-identical twins on the other hand are born from separate 'zygotes'.
What exactly is a zygote?
Simply put, when a man's sperm fertilizes a woman's egg, the two cells unite to form a single cell. It is called zygote. That is, the cell from which life begins is called the zygote. This zygote then divides repeatedly to form a cell cluster. Which progressively divides further to form the embryo. And the baby is born from this embryo.
In case of twins
A baby is usually born from the same zygote. However, in some cases a zygote may divide and settle elsewhere in the uterus. Then two separate embryos are formed from two separate parts. In this way identical twins are formed. The reason is that their original zygote is but one. That is, there is no difference in any genetic material. Usually in this case a pair of children are born that look exactly alike.
As are non-identical twins
Twins can happen the other way around. Usually only one egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tube per month. But sometimes two separate eggs appear in two ovaries in a month. Even if these two eggs are fertilized at the same time, twins can be born. Because they are separate cells, they are not created from the same zygote, and their genetic material is not exactly the same. This is how non-identical twins see the light of day.
So now let's talk about bananas. Banana is a very nutritious food. If there is no allergy problem, expectant mothers can be fed bananas with doctor's advice.
