The Dhaka Times Desk We have seen many stories of cannabis users. But today there is an exceptional story and that is that the rat ate 200 kg of cannabis!
We see from time to time huge quantities of cannabis being recovered from drug dealers. They were also submitted to the police station as evidence in the case. However, when the court asked to see the evidence, the police said that almost half of the seized ganja is not in the police station now. Why not? In response to this question, it has been said that they have been eaten by rats. According to the information given by the police, rats have eaten 195 kg of cannabis! Information from BBC.
According to a report, the incident took place in a police station in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. A total of 386 kg of ganja was seized in several drug cases in Mathura.
However, in a report given by the police to the court, it was informed that rats have eaten some of the cannabis kept in the police station. However, its amount is known to be 195 kg!
In the report given to the court, the police said, 'The rat is a very small animal, but it is not afraid of the police at all. It is very difficult to protect the drug (marijuana) from rats.'
The police filed this report in the court in view of the order of Judge Sanjay Chowdhury regarding the presentation of evidence in the court. Rats ate these marihuana narcotics evidence in 3 cases.
After receiving this report, Judge Sanjay Chowdhury reprimanded the police. He warned that another 700 kg of ganja was seized by the police station of Mathura district. The judge said to be careful that rats do not eat these drugs.
Judge Sanjay Chowdhury also commented that the police lacked experience in ensuring the safety of seized drugs and dealing with small animals like rats. He said the only way to protect the seized products from vagrants like rats was for labs and pharmaceutical companies to auction off and sell the cannabis, depositing it into government coffers.
Explaining this incident, MP Singh, a senior police officer of Mathura, said that the rats did not destroy all of this cannabis. Some parts have been eaten by rats. The rest of the cannabis was destroyed even in the heavy rain!
