The Dhaka Times Desk Apple CEO Tim Cook offered to cut his salary by 40 percent. He thinks that his salary is too high. So pay cuts need to be made!
According to a Bloomberg report, Tim Cook himself proposed to the company to reduce the salary by 40 percent to 40.9 million USD this year. Among which was basic salary of 3 million dollars, bonus of 6 million dollars and share price of 4 million dollars.
Apple said the new salary will be set only after combining performance and Cook's requested pay cuts.
The Bloomberg report also said that Tim Cook's salary last year was 99.4 million US dollars. There was also criticism among shareholders over the team's salary at the time. Shareholder advisory group Institutional Shareholder Services raised concerns about Cook's pay at the time. However, most shareholders voted in favor of Cook.
