Allegedly, despite having an economy class ticket, he insisted on sitting in business class. The airmen then misbehaved with them when they stopped, spat at them, punched them and even took off their clothes and started walking half-naked in front of everyone!
This incident happened last Monday. The woman, a citizen of Italy, has already been arrested by the Mumbai police. The age of the woman is 45.
The Vistara flight UK 256 (Abu Dhabi-Mumbai route) landed at Mumbai's Maharaja Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in the early hours of Monday, police said. Initially, the security personnel of Vistara detained the woman. Then he was arrested by the Sahar Thana Police based on the complaint of Biman staff.
What actually happened on the plane?
Regarding the matter, a police officer of Sahar Police Station said that the Vistara flight took off from Abu Dhabi at 2:03 PM on Sunday. At 2:30 am, the female passenger suddenly left the economy class seat and got up. Ran to business class and sat there.
Seeing this, the two airmen asked if he needed any help. But he did not reply. At this time, the flight attendants asked him to return to his seat. Then the woman started trouble. He kept shouting. He started abusing. An airman was punched. Spit on the face of another. Then after a few more airmen came there, the woman started undressing.
The police officer also said that the violence of the woman did not end there. He said that the female passenger took off her clothes and started walking half-naked in mid-air. The flight attendants and fellow passengers were shocked.
The incident continued for some time. After many attempts, the working airmen were able to control the woman. After that, when the plane landed in Mumbai at 4:53 am on Monday, the woman was handed over to the police. Mumbai Police filed a case against him on Monday afternoon.
