According to a report in the Daily Mail, the photo was taken on an Air New Zealand flight. The person who took the picture said, I like the picture very much. I did not find any cruelty in it.

Critics felt that if I had seen something like this in flight I would have removed the mask. Many have said that the film is really sad.
